EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
604.3 - PROGRAM FOR TALENTED AND GIFTED STUDENTS
The board recognizes some students require programming beyond the regular education program. The board will identify students with special abilities and provide educational programming. Systematic and uniform procedures are used for screening, referring, identifying, and serving gifted and talented students. The board will review the progress of gifted and talented students at least annually for the purposes of ensuring the district-provided services meet the academic needs of gifted and talented students.
It is the responsibility of the superintendent to develop a talented and gifted program which provides for identifying students, program evaluation, and training of employees.
